Taina Williams Addresses G Herbo Relationship Speculation After Blocking Him on Instagram

After welcoming their first child together in May, it appeared that G Herbo and Taina Williams were on the outs. But now Williams has clarified the situation.

After a video surfaced that appeared to show G Herbo attending his ex-girlfriend Ari Fletcher’s birthday party in Atlanta, some people noticed that Williams was no longer following G Herbo on Instagram. While the duo did not make any public statements about their relationship at the time, that didn’t stop fans from jumping to conclusions.

Williams recently clarified the situation via an Instagram comment suggesting that they were still together, while also confirming that she did, in fact, block him.

“[Laughing emojis] … That’s still my man he just blocked … Nothing to see here,” she wrote. Williams neither confirmed or denied that she blocked him because of his alleged appearance at his ex’s birthday party.

Despite his apparent relationship woes, Herbo’s career continues to take off. Following the release of his recent album 25, which debuted at No. 5 on the Billboard 200 album chart this week, Herbo indicated that he wants to work with fellow Chicagoan Polo G on a collaborative project. Earlier this month, he said he wanted to do something with Polo, but now he’s given an update on the potential project.

"It’s really hearsay right now,” said Herbo in an interview with Ebro Darden on Apple Music 1. “We ain’t even mapped nothing out. I just think it got potential to happen and it would be something that’s crazy. It’s really just us putting the time together and going and getting with it. It’s definitely something the culture needs, Chicago definitely needs it, so it’s a matter of us sitting down and working it and mapping it out. It’s gotta make perfect sense.”

It’s not quite confirmed, then, but he did suggest he has plenty of other exciting collaborations on the way. “Me and Pop [Smoke] got some unreleased music that’s gonna come out soon hopefully,” he added. “Me and Fivio [Foreign] got music.” While Herbo didn’t confirm when fans can expect such music to see the light of day, hopefully it won’t be much longer.
